Did you know that particle contamination is the number one cause of lubricant-related equipment failure? And that contamination causes an estimated 82% of component wear?
Tiny foreign particles just 4 microns in diameter can compromise lubricant effectiveness and cause significant expense for equipment repair, premature replacement and lost revenue due to downtime.
The Chevron ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants Program helps you maintain a clean system, control lubricant contamination and maximize equipment life, while reducing costly maintenance and downtime.
ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants are specially filtered and guaranteed to match the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) cleanliness recommendations and ISO cleanliness codes. Every batch is certified at your point of delivery, so you know it’s right for your equipment.
ISOCLEAN Services are designed to help you analyze your onsite procedures and contamination controls and, if necessary, clean up and manage contamination of in-service lubricants and operating systems.
As a Chevron ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricant Marketer, Woodford has the products, services, knowledge and expertise to help you:

ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants give customers the opportunity to significantly extend equipment component life by 2 to 4 times in most cases.
Every time a lubricant is handled, there is an opportunity for particles to creep into the oil: airborne particles, dirt, silicate, paint, water.
Even fresh lubricants can suffer contamination—for example, when shipped from a manufacturing plant, trucked to a distributor’s storage facility, pumped into a delivery truck, transferred to a customer’s storage tanks, or poured into the equipment’s system.

Use Chevron’s simple, three-step ISOCLEAN Calculator to estimate the current lifespan of your equipment components versus what could be achieved using ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants.
And keep in mind that controlling fluid contamination at the start will save you 90% of the cost to remove it later—when considering the cost of component repair together with lost revenue while the equipment is out of service.

Chevron ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants are designed, tested, and certified to meet critical OEM fluid cleanliness requirements, allowing users to maximize equipment life.
To maximize performance, new equipment manufacturers engineer their components (hydraulic systems, transmissions, gearboxes, engines) with very precise tolerances and high system pressures. That drives the need for higher lubricant cleanliness standards in order to achieve maximum performance and component life.
The same principle also applies to older equipment: particle contamination of lubricants will cause premature wear and shorten the life expectancy of components.
Most OEMs have fluid cleanliness requirements for lubricants operating in their equipment. The life expectancy of equipment components is typically based on many variables, but the fluid cleanliness of lubricants is the single most important variable.
Many users assume that new, off-the-shelf lubricants will meet their equipment’s OEM fluid cleanliness requirements, but that’s not always the case. Others assume that an onboard filtration system will take care of any problem, but that doesn’t always happen.
Some users try to pre-filter the lubricant themselves, but that is typically more difficult and expensive than purchasing certified clean lubricants.
Unfortunately, there just hasn’t been a turnkey solution that offers a comprehensive, guaranteed certification program backed by the lubricant manufacturer. Until now. Chevron has brought the first solution to the market with ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricants.

Did you know that Woodford is the only Chevron ISOCLEAN Certified Lubricant Marketer in West Virginia?
In support of managing lubricant cleanliness, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) developed the standardized ISO Cleanliness Code 4406:99 that is the primary piece of reporting data used to measure fluid lubricant cleanliness. The code defines how contaminating particles are sized and counted.
OEMs usually include ISO fluid cleanliness recommendations in their equipment manuals. However, not all end users are aware of their equipment’s cleanliness specifications. And those who are aware may not have access to the necessary facilities to measure their lubricant contamination levels. Often, it is only after doing a fluid analysis that the user discovers that the level of particle contamination in the oil may be putting their equipment at risk.
