CONNECTING THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS
While technology has revolutionized the way we do business, Woodford knows that nothing can replace the power of personal interaction. That’s why we are always excited to hit the road and connect with our customers at community events throughout the year.
From local festivals, to charity fundraisers and parades, we embrace the opportunity to meet our customers and showcase our commitment to their communities. These events provide the perfect platform for us to engage with customers, answer any questions, and hear honest feedback.
This summer, Woodford participated in several community fairs and parades including the Shinnston Little League Parade (Shinnston, WV), the West Virginia Strawberry Festival (Buckhannon, WV), the Monongalia County Fair (Morgantown, WV), and the Valley District Fair (Reedsville, WV).
The Woodford team is also looking forward to attending several upcoming events this fall, including the Buckwheat Festival (Kingwood, WV), the Mountain State Forest Festival (Elkins, WV), and the Confluence Pumpkinfest Parade (Confluence, PA).
SUPPORTING LOCAL GROUPS
Woodford firmly believes in giving back to the communities that have supported us through the years. We take great pride in supporting local schools, charities, nonprofits, and community initiatives. Whether it’s sponsoring a little league team, supporting food drives, or participating in a school event, we are dedicated to making a difference where it matters most.
This year, we were happy to support several local causes including WVU Medicine Children’s Annual Gala and fundraiser in Morgantown, WV, and Tyrand Cooperative Ministries’ food pantry, which provides important services to residents of the Appalachian Highlands of West Virginia.
Local schools and students have always been a special focus for Woodford, and this year we were happy to make a donation to Fellowsville Elementary School, Fellowsville, PA, as part of our successful Customer Appreciation Day held in July.
In May, we were pleased to participate once again in the Careers on Wheels event at Mylan Park Elementary School, Morgantown, WV, where students were able to see our trucks up close and talk to our drivers about what they do!
A similar event earlier this month brought Woodford trucks and drivers to Danville, KY, for a Touch-A-Truck event sponsored by the Healthy Kids Clinic.
